Mobility Lounge

It has been a few weeks, and I had Mobility Lounge done after three days. As we can see, I put off writing up a review for it.

Mobility Lounge is a smaller read about a guy named Van who lives in an assisted housing situation in California and to get out of switching apartments with a married couple dictated by the housing program, because he is in a two bedroom and they in a one bedroom, he puts an ad on Craigslist for someone to pretend to be his wife. So in comes Rene, some hot French chick who agrees to the arrangement with the original one rule of no real commitments. That obviously does not work, but neither party wants to admit it. For someone who bitches about the corporate world, Van takes a job at some start-up in Holland where he lives in the airport hotel and never has a clue what his job pertains to.

I think for the first time since starting to write reviews, I am going to actually not recommend reading it just in general with no exceptions to particular persons who might find something positive about it. Emphasis on might. Then again, others have been finding this really good.

This was a mess to read. It was clear where the character narration switches, but then I got lost in the muddle of their inner monologue to where I just became incredibly disinterested. I do not know if the point from the author was to make you dislike the cast of characters and plot be based off of ill-thought decision making, but it was attained. There is a group of people being adults who deal with insecurities and uncertainties, but there is also bringing it to a level of unnecessary complications. It got old really quick.

I will say that, to be positive, I have learned that occasionally you have to have to read a book you consider bad, or else you will not know what a good book is. Regardless, I will share the usual link if you want to try reading this, but I would probably just burn mine to be savagely honest. You will find it here.
