Another couple of Sweet Valley High notches made in the belt.
For those who have not read the review for first group of Sweet Valley High books that I have read since starting this WordPress site, I obtained a banker box full of them when I was in about middle school. I never started reading them until later on, and to be honest I only ever read them when I want to take a break from going hard with books and want to build up my speed again.
The Sweet Valley universe takes place in Sweet Valley, California, where we have two sixteen-year-old twins named Jessica and Elizabeth and their friends. Usually there is some formula that is used for every book, just like a TV series, so really you do not have to feel like you have to absolutely start at the first one. Like a teenage drama series, there is some continuity, though, so I would not hop around.
These are really easy, quick reads; I have been finding since becoming a part of a book recommendation group on Facebook that there are a lot of people who would rather prefer this type of book. I do realize that there are all sorts of readers out there, from reading hours and hours everyday to trying to read when they can because life gets hectic. This is a good option for the latter. I know in the last review I did for Sweet Valley that I have linked above that I ripped it to shreds. Clearly the content is not my cup of tea.
