The Great Gatsby

This is a great book, I will start with that; this is such a tragic drama where no one is innocent and no one is guilty; it can all be blamed on human nature.

You hear a lot about these kind of people: the ones that go to such great heights to find the person they were looking for all along, the ones that make empty promises and end up in situations that they did not want to be in, the one you thought you loved, but ends up being a real douche, and the one who just rides shotgun yet fails to stand up and say anything when something happens because they are the newbie and feel slightly out of place.

That is literally this book, and it is sad because it continually happens to people. Like, all the time. The Great Gatsby does that for me; whether I watch the latest movie version, or read the book, you feel it Mr. Krabs, and you realize that there are times, either once, or all the time, that you are one of those people. Either way, it is unhealthy.

That is what this book is; it is a beautifully written fictional observance on how there will be at least one time in your life where you will live this. Maybe you will not follow the same situation as the ending of this book, but it might as well be the same thing because that is your own life experience.

All in a fatalistic way of speaking, of course, and I will end with that.

This is a great book for a discussion setting. If you would like a copy I would start here.
