This was a book I bought at a prophetic conference I went to at the beginning of the year where Janet was doing art on stage during worship. When I went up to her table I was struck dumb and could not find the words to form questions for her. So I got her book.
It was so uplifting to read this, it really was. Janet tells her story of certain art pieces that were cornerstones in her journey in doing prophetic art as both a career and a testimony to others. It opened my eyes and encouraged me to look at my own life and what God wants for me and my art. I can also ask Janet questions that cannot be found in her book.
I was raised in an artistic setting while going to a church that was pretty charismatic, which was where I met my mom’s best friend who makes and sells worship flags. She became my art mentor for the prophetic and we have run an artist group through the church we went to. I always knew that I would be doing something creative for a career, and it has always been a struggle trying to pinpoint what that pertains. So bringing it back to Heavenly Expressions, it was a nice reminder that I am not alone in figuring life out. Janet struggled as well. Jenifer struggled. So therefore I can struggle.
