Safely Home

Welcome to Word Press, Hannah; welcome everyone to the switch from Tumblr.

I am glad that Safely Home is the first book for me to talk about here because it holds a little place in my heart, not just for my own faith, but also because my husband and I have been developing a growing heart for the Asian community in all heritages. With that said there will be a bias of faith for those who are not religiously inclined.

I am a reader who starts off slow, but then when the content begins to pick up I will binge through the remainder for all it’s worth. I have read a couple more of Randy’s books in the past, and I will share those as well as I transfer and edit the reviews that I did on Tumblr. Safely Home is a stereotypical Christian book where that is all the book is about. It was challenging to me to look at my own faith and what it costs to me, giving me a humble trip for awhile. This was written a book of cause, to spread awareness in the Christian community that there is a world outside our churches in America and we need to care about them just like our next door neighbor.

I would read this again, but as a second time reader I would do so as an intentional way of reminder that, although fictional based on fact, that the lesson from reading the first time continues to stand true.

If you would like a copy, you will be able to find it here. I am a person of discussion, so I always openly invite readers to discuss books I’ve reviewed.
